I booked a 3 day/2 night safari with Panther Adventures, and the experience was nothing short of unforgettable.

The accommodation at the Karenge Bush Camp, perched high above the main savannah area, was amazing, serving tasty food and offering comfortable beds in cozy tents.

During the various game drives and boat tour on Lake I spotted so much wildlife it's hard to remember them all. I was lucky enough to see the entire Big 5 on the first day, but the park has so much more to offer, ranging from crocodiles and hippos to giraffes, hyena's and all sorts of herbivores and colorful birds. Not to mention the wonderful scenery - Akagera truly is a magical place!

However, the best part of the experience were my guide Vital - knowledgeable, sharp-eyed (I'm sure I would have easily missed half of all animal encounters if I had to spot the animals myself) and just all-out great guys to spend time and hang out with.

All in all, if you are looking for a well-organized safari experience that will stay with you for a long time, quite possibly forever, you simply can't go wrong with the Panthers

I headed to Rwanda for a month long solo trip with the goal of meeting kind people and going on incredible adventures. I found Panther Adventures about a week and a half into my trip after Anna, another woman who had used their tour services, referred me. I wish I had started my trip with them because the true adventure began with their guidance! I cannot recommend a better tour company! They care about their customers, safety is a priority, and they work to help develop their community and show the world the best parts of Rwanda! Their prices were affordable and when I communicated my budget we were able to swap some options out so that I was still able to do everything I wanted.

My trip included a trip to Nyungwe National Park where I did the longest canopy walk in Africa, tracked down chimpanzees, and saw a beautiful waterfall followed by a trip to Musanze and the Volcanoes where I got to the most incredible culture visit (got pretend married via a traditional wedding!, learned how to make flour, and shoot an arrow!! (badass, I know)) and then most importantly got to spend an hour with THE Susa Family gorillas which were one of the first gorilla groups habituated by Diane Fosse herself. I felt like I got VIP treatment everywhere we traveled thanks to my driver guide Vital. He helped make what I requested a reality.

At first, I was nervous to work with a tour company because I didn't want to pay an inflated price for less activities and felt I could do it cheaper on my own. This might be true for other tour companies, but is not true for Panther Adventures. When I said "dream Rwandan trip", they listened! Thanks to their knowledge and insight, even with their fair service fees, their knowledge of accommodation, 'secret' well-priced restaurant spots, fun off-the-beaten- path activities, and professional tourism connections, using Panther Adventures made it cheaper and better than I could've done on my own.

The trip didn't stop there! Panther Adventures took me to Akagera National Park to see the Big 5! Typically you have to rent a guide who knows the ins and outs of the park, but not when you are with Panther Adventures! Panther Adventure guides have extensive knowledge of the park routes and animals so we got to use our own private car and Panther driver guide we had been working with throughout the trip in the park and we were able to see ALL the big 5 during the day! I stayed at a beautiful accommodation they booked for me in the center of the park where you could hear the lions magnificently roaring at night, enjoy conversations over a bonfire with other fellow likeminded travelers, and enjoy your own secluded tent with luxurious private outdoor showers. I even saw a Zebra when I was showering! Talk about a story to write home about.

Along the routes traveling to the different parks we stopped at all the museums and my driver guide was very knowledgable about the history and fun facts of all the cities/areas we drove through which significantly added to the experience. We were able to stop at both Twin Lakes and Lake Kivu to relax in between the more adventurous parts of the trip and it was an incredible and serene way to recharge.

This all was only a glimpse into my trip and I wish I had time to share more! There's also a Bisoke hike, Golden Monkeys, Napoleons Island, horse riding, coffee and tea plantations, the list can go on! I will most definitely be back and will use Panther Adventures.

Particularly, Panther Adventures, as they have such big hearts and a love for their country and the potential sustainable tourism brings which is unmatched compared to larger companies. Meine Erfahrung mit Panther Adventures war eine besondere. Als ich in Kigali ankam, war es mein Ziel, Rwanda mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden und gleichzeitig das Land zu besuchen. Die Hotelmanagerin hatte mich mit Vital in Kontakt gebracht, und so begann das Abenteuer.

Ich fuhr mit dem Fahrrad nach Akagera, wo wir durch den Akagera-Park fuhren! Wunderschön!

Sowohl die Tiere (Elefanten, Hypopotamus, Zebras, Giraffen, usw.) als auch die Landschaften an den verschiedenen Seen waren magisch!

Ich setzte meine Radtour fort, bis ich in Musanze ankam. Ich brauchte einen Fahrer, um nach Bisoke zu gelangen. Vital hat alles perfekt organisiert und ich konnte diesen wunderschönen Vulkan besteigen.

Nous avons visité Nyungwe et Akagera avec Vital! C’était vraiment très bien, pas d’arnaque.
Vital nous a réservé des petites surprises comme apprendre a pecher, du poulet roti.
